Tuition & Program Value

The cost of tuition is based on $18 per hour of childcare for each child. This comes to a total of $72 per day for our 4-hour program.

Each day our program serves 10 students with 2 teachers.

Our program is intentionally designed to maintain a high-quality teaching team and a supportive, nurturing, and attentive experience. Where every child receives the support they need to thrive, while ensuring families can trust in the expertise and care of our educators.

Tuition & Payments

Our program runs on a 12-week trimester schedule, and tuition is calculated per trimester.

To give families flexibility, we offer two payment options:

  • Pay in full at the beginning of the trimester

  • Pay in monthly installments throughout the trimester

For families choosing monthly payments:

  • The first payment (or full tuition if paying in full) is due before the first day of the trimester.

  • Ongoing monthly payments are due during our payment window of the 5th–15th of each month.

  • Because your child’s spot is reserved for the full trimester, tuition remains a flat rate and is not adjusted for student absences or unexpected closures due to extreme weather.

  • On days with inclement weather our program does utilize a few different indoor locations in the South Lake Tahoe.

  • These indoor days are more like field trips to our community spaces, as we do not maintain a permanent indoor classroom.

  • This allows us to keep cancellations to a minimum while still preserving the spirit of exploration and flexibility in our program.

  • That said, we deeply value consistency for the children and reliability for families, so we will always do our best to provide make-up opportunities in these cases whenever possible.

If the cost of tuition is a barrier for your family, please indicate on your application that you are interested in our sliding scale tuition or one of the 25% or 50% scholarships we offer each school year. It is very important to us that families who want their child to be here are able to participate.
