Caydi Dommeyer

Founder, Director, & Teacher

Caydi Dommeyer is an outdoor educator dedicated to helping children connect deeply with the natural world. Raised in the mountains near Santa Barbara, she developed a lifelong love of nature that inspires her work in early childhood education.

Over the past nine years, Caydi has held diverse roles in outdoor education, from being a farm-camp counselor and garden educator to lead forest school teacher.

She holds a B.A. in Global Studies with an emphasis on food systems and a minor in Visual and Public Art from California State University, Monterey Bay. Her studies, along with training in Environmental Horticulture, Early Childhood Education, and a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, continue to shape her holistic approach to teaching and wellness.

Caydi’s experience includes leading programs at Fairview Gardens, Explore Ecology, and A Thousand Mornings Forest School. She now serves as Founder and Director of Tiny Seeds Forest School, where her vision of nature-based, child-centered learning comes to life. Through Tiny Seeds, Caydi fosters curiosity, creativity, and care for the earth in future generations.

Erin Jones

Co-Lead Teacher

Erin Jones joins Tiny Seeds as a Co-Lead Teacher after previously serving as a beloved substitute within our program. Her passion for nature, teaching, and community connection shines through in all that she does. With six years of professional experience in early childhood education and as the oldest of four siblings, Erin brings both expertise and heart to her work with children.

Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Erin moved to California nine years ago and has since made Tahoe her year-round home. She holds a Nevada teaching certificate and is dedicated to fostering confidence, curiosity, and joy in every child she teaches. Erin believes there is no better classroom than the outdoors, where children’s natural wonder and enthusiasm inspire lifelong learning.

When she is not teaching, Erin loves to spend time outdoors running, hiking, playing soccer, snowboarding, biking, surfing, or camping with friends and family.

We are so excited to have Erin on as our Co-Lead Teacher!
